The Intenders Circle

We started out with four of us – Mark, Tina, Betsy, and myself – sitting around a table on the patio once a week. We’d go around the Circle, one by one, and each of us would say our intentions for the things that we desired to manifest in our lives. Pretty soon, we were getting amazing results, a bunch of our friends had joined us, and the feeling of being part of a family had awakened in all of us. As the group got larger and larger, we began listening to each other even more closely. We became cheerleaders for each other, really being happy for someone else when their intentions came to life.

There are three ways to take part in an Intenders Circle. You can join a circle that already exists, you can start one of your own, or nowadays with the advent of social distancing, you can start an Intenders Cybercircle on Zoom. To see if there’s a circle already in your area, click this link to our Directory of Intenders Circles page. In the meantime, below is our Intention Circle Guideline Sheet for you to download (by clicking on the image), print out, copy and distribute to your group.

The Friendly Format
(Reprinted from The Intenders Handbook)

The friendly 8-step format listed below is the one that we use in our Intention Circles today. It is this unique format that has made the Intenders so successful.

1. Blessing of Food
2. Potluck
3. Short Guided Meditation
4. Explanation of the Intention Process to Newcomers
5. The Intention Circle
6. Toning
7. Break (more eating and socializing)
8. Spiritual Guidance

There is a lot more information about how to start your own Intenders Circle in The Intenders Handbook. Or if you’d like to see an Intenders Circle in action, our Youtube at the top of this page is entitled “The Intention Process: A Guide for Conscious Manifestation and Community-Making” and it will take you into an actual Intenders Circle with the original Intenders and show you exactly how we do it.

Start Your Own Cybercircle

When Social Distancing is a factor

Intenders Cybercircles are Fun!

After crisscrossing the country countless times over the last decade showing people how to set up their own Intenders Circle, we realized that it was time for us to adapt our unique Intenders Circle format to the internet. So we gathered a few friends with the intention that we create a practical, working model that will make it easy (and free) for anyone to set up their own Intenders Cybercircle.

We began by exploring the wide range of videoconferencing venues available and found that the Zoom app had everything we needed: it’s easily accessible; has space for up to 10 people; worked beautifully on our desktops as well as our mobile devices; and, most importantly, it is free for the first 40 minutes. (The Pro Upgrade is also available reasonably.)

In our first tests we were all a bit concerned that we might not enjoy the same high energy, uplifting experience in our Intenders Cybercircle as we get in a real life Intenders Circle, but we were quite mistaken! We had a blast right away! We were each able to say our Gratitudes (“I’m grateful for . . .”), Intentions (“I intend that . . .”) and Visions for our ideal world (“I see a world where . . .”) easily and comfortably, knowing we had the support of everyone else in the Cybercircle because we were all lined up with the Highest Good. And what with all of our simultaneous aligning we felt at One with each other by the time we were done.

The bottom line for us is that it worked well beyond our expectations. We had great fun, started the conscious manifestation process rolling by stating our gratitudes and intentions, made several new friends, and came together as One. I can’t wait until next week when we meet together again!

Testimonials

Thank you all so very much! I’m excited to be a part of this, and I feel that we are laying the groundwork for so many others who are isolated to connect with people who can support and uplift them. Some ‘awakened’ people sort of just accept that they have to travel a solitary road – but that really need not be the case anymore. They can connect with the encouragement and love of an energetic soul family that they need! It’s amazing! Can’t wait until next week! 🙂
Much Love & Light to All,

Hi all.
Thanks for a lovely circle today. We are all strands forming a strong chain together–thank you for your support and encouragement and friendship!! Thank you to Tony for his wisdom, to Kathleen for her humor, to Nancee for her excitement and enthusiasm, to Piera for her warmth, to Aiyana for her playfulness, to Stefy for her strength, and to Lori for her leadership. Love you all!
See you next week.
Leigh

Thank you all! I have been needing to reconnect with my Intention family, as I have been rather isolated here with my dad. So this is perfect for me to be with like minded friends to help push my restart button! So looking forward to next week also, it will be Cinco De Mayo, maybe Paul can have a party hat for the rest of us!
So be it, and so it is!
In the Highest Light~

How You Can Start An Intenders Circle

Hello and thank you for your letter. I am always glad to help others start an Intenders Circle.
First of all, if you have a group of friends who would like to start an Intenders Circle, you’re way ahead of the game. Just gather your group together and have a potluck! We always start out our meetings a little after 5 o’clock in the evening with a very short (a minute or less) food blessing. We join hands and someone says a few words of gratitude for all that we have received. Then, of course, we eat and chat together for about an hour.
Shortly after 6pm, we begin our Circle. By this time everyone will have finished eating and those who couldn’t make it to the potluck will have arrived. We really appreciate it that people come on time because, that way, they don’t walk in during our guided meditation. We all like this part of our meeting because it makes us feel empowered and uplifted. There are a couple of folks in our group who like to lead this short meditation (5 to 10 minutes), so whoever wants to do it can.
After the guided meditation, we go around the Circle and, for the benefit of any guests and new Intenders, we each say our name. Then, for a few moments, one of the more experienced Intenders will talk about the Intention Process and how our thoughts create our experiences.
Immediately after that, we begin to go around the Intention Circle – with each person saying what their Intentions are and acknowledging the Intentions that have recently manifested in their lives by expressing their Gratitudes. Sometimes we also share our Visions for our ideal world, as well. When we’ve finished going around the Circle once, we always let anyone randomly put in any Intentions that they may have forgotten the first time around.
We’ve learned over the last couple of years that everyone really wants everyone else’s Intentions to come true. So we listen very closely to each other and have even become like cheerleaders for one another, wanting our friend’s Intentions, as well as our own, to come into manifestation. Often, we imagine that all of our Intentions are stacking up in the middle of the Circle, so that when we are done, they will fly out into the Universe on the wings of Angels, to be brought back to us in the perfect timing.
After everyone’s Intentions are put into the Circle, we will stand up, hold hands, and TONE. During the circle, there is usually some sort of theme that many people mention, like home, God, love, peace … We pick a word or sound that appeals to everyone and that is the sound or word that we Tone. Sometimes, we will Tone a couple different Tones. We find that if we Tone the word or sound for a longish period of time, say at least three minutes, it really begins to feel wonderful. During this Toning, the group feels a Oneness with each other. When the Toning is finished, we’ve found that it is important to just stand holding hands and listen quietly to the sounds around us and enjoy the Oneness.
After the Toning, we chat and munch a bit more, about fifteen minutes. Then we have a channeling session. Some Circles don’t do this, but we love it. If there isn’t a person in your group who can channel, all you need to do is Intend that one shows up…and one will! We started out with one channel – and now there are four people in our Circle who are tuned in to their Higher Self (because they intended it!) We limit our channeling sessions to thirty minutes so that those who need to get home can do so at a reasonable time.

We have our Intenders Circle on Sunday evenings, but it could be at any time that is convenient for you. If you do not have a group of folks to start your group with, set a time when you will have your meeting. Let folks know when it is and why you want them to come. You know, when we first started our group, it was just Mark, Tina, Tony and me. We met first just as friends having dinner together on Sunday evenings to talk about what we wanted in our lives. After several months, Tina and Mark brought another person to dinner. She only attended one meeting. Then, after a couple of months, another person came. She, Connie, stayed with it, but for along time, there was just the five of us. If you have even one person, have a meeting. There were times when we wondered if anyone else would ever show up. Our guides kept saying that even if no one else is there, have a set time. Even if you are the only one, do your Intentions out loud and Tone. The energy that you put out into the Universe by doing that will bring others.
So take care and never stop reaching for and Intending for your dreams. I am looking forward to the letter that asks what you are to do when your group gets too large to meet in your living room.
