In a recent newsletter (Business Notions 4), I emphasised how important it is to give validity to the claims you make about your products and services. You need to give real, meaningful, solid specifics rather than vague meaningless generalities.
That’s why I was delighted to see this full page advert appearing in one of our metro newspapers.

Now, I’m no real estate agent so I know very little about numbers at inspections and, of course, those visits could have been spread over lots of branches and may have included everyone walking through… mum, dad, the kids and grandma.

But, who cares?

To someone contemplating selling their home, where people inspecting the property is important sales action, those figures are pretty damned impressive!

And it’s really meaningful when the figure is so specific… 6,397! Heck, they could have said around 7,000 but how much better is that very, very specific number? And by the way, odd numbers are always better than even numbers so I’m glad they actually dragged that person through the door.
