Extras casting call for a new FX show called “English Teacher” starring Brian Jordan Alvarez.
The new series is beginning production in the Atlanta, Georgia area and Central Casting is recruiting paid background actors to work on set.
FX has officially given the green light to the comedy series “English Teacher,” as reported by Variety. Production is just beginning for season 1 and there is now word yet as to when the show will premiere.
Initially ordered as a pilot in June 2022, the show is the brainchild of Brian Jordan Alvarez, who also takes on a leading role. The storyline revolves around a high school teacher in Austin navigating the challenges posed by students and parents alike in a world where the rules are in constant flux.
Brian Jordan Alvarez leads a talented ensemble cast that includes Stephanie Koenig, Enrico Colantoni, and Sean Patton. Alvarez, in addition to his on-screen role, serves as an executive producer, joining forces with Paul Simms, renowned for his work on FX’s “What We Do in the Shadows” and “Atlanta.” The executive production team further includes Jonathan Krisel (“Baskets,” “Portlandia”) and Dave King (“Parks and Recreation,” “The Good Place”).
