CenterStage Theatre Company announces open auditions for our Summer 2019 production of Thoroughly Modern Millie
Directed by Shelly Cox-Robie, Choreography by Izzy Robie
Performances July 20-28 at Dairy Arts Center in Boulder.
Please note there is a fee to participate.
All auditions are by appointment: May 10, 4:30 – 7:00pm, May 11, 10am – 1pm at CenterStage Theatre Company’s studios at Koko Plaza (901 Front Street in Louisville, lower level).
Dance auditions and callbacks will be held on May 12.
All actors must be ages 14-20 to be eligible to audition.
The winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie was the 2002 season’s most awarded new show on Broadway! Based on the 1967 Academy Award-winning film, Thoroughly Modern Millie takes you back to the height of the Jazz Age in New York City, when “moderns,” including a flapper named Millie Dillmount, were bobbing their hair, raising their hemlines, entering the workforce and rewriting the rules of love. This high-spirited musical romp is a delightful valentine to the long-standing spirit of New York City and the people who seek to discover themselves there.
All roles will be double cast to the extent that we are able.
If cast, tuition fee of $430, costume fee of $75 and script fee of $20 apply. (A limited number of need-based scholarships are available)
All Roles are open. CenterStage would love to have an extremely diverse cast, and actors of all types and ethnicities are encouraged to audition. This show has many featured roles which will showcase both experienced and new actors.
