Bully: The B Word

We are now casting male/female CHILDREN, TEENAGERS and ADULTS for various roles in the powerful stage play “Bully: The B Word. This is a great opportunity for children, teenagers and adults who are seeking to gain experience and begin an acting career. It also it a great way to be apart of addressing the problem with bullying.
CHILDREN AND TEENAGER ROLES
Keona: Main female character, Can be ages 12,14 or 15, daughter of Kathy, she is constantly harassed and bullied at school
Shawntell: Can be ages 11-15, but ages up to 17 will be considered, bullies Keona, she thinks she is tough and loves to humiliate and make fun of people in a threatening manner, leading to situations that usually end violently.
Rashad: Main male character, 12-14 yrs. old, constantly being bullied, timid, quiet, small in stature.
Kenny: 15-16, has all of the girls in school, leader, handsome, somewhat muscular, charming
Aliyah: Supportive female friend of Keona, 12-15 yrs old, always has Keona’s back
Laquan: 14-16 yr old female friend of Shawntell who is always by her side, does whatever Shawntell tells her to do.
Brielle: 13-14 yr old female, close friend of Keona, protects her
Ci-Ci: 14-15 yr old female classmate of Keona, doesn’t care for her and likes the same boy Keona likes
Jordan: 14-16 yr old male, close friend to Kenny
Additionally we are also seeking 5 or 6 boys between the ages of 12 – 16 needed for a gymnasium scene.
ADULT ROLES:
Kathy: 30 – 40 yr old female, divorced Mother to Keona, loves her daughter but has a lot on her plate.
Fred: 30-40 yr old, Keona’s deadbeat father, only sees her on holidays, military veteran, divorced from Keona’s mother
Grandma: 55-65 yr old grandmother to Keona, very feisty, judgmental, brutally blunt
