Daughters is a short, dramatic film about a young woman named Kate meeting her biological mother for the first time. Kate does not tell her biological mother she is coming to meet her, and she finds that the woman she dreamed of meeting does not want anything to do with her.
Main roles are as follows:
Ruth Lawrence, mid-50’s (56), female, Caucasian, homely and rugged looking, powerful matriarch, she serves in her church but verbally cuts down anyone who crosses her.
Kate Wilson, 30, female, Caucasian, pretty and put together, a writer who tends to be introverted and timid but will ultimately speak out when she needs to stand up for herself.
