Hello Lovelies! Beauty Shop Dolls is expanding our team to create more availability for more bookings! Sing and dance your way through the 1920s/30s/40s/50s/&60s. Shared position available with one other performer. Shows are paid, rehearsals unpaid. We have many repeat clients, and are always looking to add to our clientele. Rehearsals are in Vancouver, performances all over the Lower Mainland, with some further overnight travel every now and again.
Performer qualities:
– Mezzo Soprano, or Soprano vocal range.
– Experience singing in tight harmonies, and able to learn parts by ear (recordings provided).
– Dance/movement experience + great stage presence.
– Able to blend with other voices, and be featured as a soloist.
– Has a flexible work schedule (not a great fit for a rigid 9-5er).
– Is a positive and easy going team player.
Details:
Audition will involve singing 1-2 minutes of any jazz standard of your choice, preparing part of a harmony line and singing with us, and learning some choreography + putting it all together (fun!).
