Description/Links: “The University of Maryland Prevention Research Center (UMD-PRC) (https://sph.umd.edu/center/prc) is recruiting actors for a Screen-to-Screen Simulated Client research study. The purpose of the study is to evaluate a training program for mental health providers about matters related to sexuality and gender and increase LGBTQ+ cultural competency among participating providers. The actors will pose as a new client and interact virtually with providers based on a pre-defined persona (like a “secret shopper”). Actors will be playing the role of a 35 year old. We seek to hire Black actors with non-binary gender identities and/or LGBTQ+ sexual orientation. Preference will be given to individuals with previous acting experience. Actors will be paid $22 per hour.
