In an effort to assist comic book retailers struggling amid the COVID-19 pandemic, DC Comics has committed $250,000 to the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (Binc). The donation will be going to provide relief for comic retailers and their employees.

DC CCO and Publisher Jim Lee is also currently auctioning 60 original sketches of DC characters and donating the earnings to Binc. Lee is auctioning one sketch a day for the next two months, with each auction live on eBay for three days. No version of a character will be repeated in these sketches. Currently available for bidding is a sketch of Azrael, Doctor Fate, and The Batman Who Laughs, with prices starting at $4,600, $7,000, and $6,300, respectively.

Many other corporations have offered support as coronavirus continues to affect people around the world. Most recently, Sony announced plans to donate $100 million to support first responders, medical professionals, educators, and creatives in the entertainment industry.
