You’re invited to Birmingham Botanical Gardens Thursday, September 30-Sunday, October 3, for the 15th-anniversary edition of Antiques at the Gardens. Over the course of three days, you can hear talks from 10 nationally and internationally acclaimed speakers and visit 21 antiques dealers. Keep reading for all the details.

From Antiques at the Gardens’ early days, back in 2006, the show has been fun and inviting, with three key elements:

  • 6PM: Honorees celebration and preview party
  • 7-11PM: The gala will be outdoors and under the stars, sponsored by Starnes Davis Florie LLP and honoring the show’s first co-chairs, Kim Matthews and Joan Starnes.

Friday, October 1: Red Diamond Lecture Series + cocktails and conversation

    • 11AM: Charlotte Moss—known for her timeless aesthetic, layered interiors, Southern warmth and keen eye.
    • 2PM: Christopher Spitzmiller—you can find his lamps, tableware and other ceramics in nearly every chic A-list interior, including the White House.

Saturday, October 2: Tastemaker Panel presented by VERANDA magazine + a talk presented by FLOWER magazine

  • 10AM-5PM: Show Hours
  • Special events requiring an extra ticket:
    • 11AM: Tastemaker Panel, presented by VERANDA magazine
      • Cathy Kincaid—her enviable sense of color and intricate design detail have established her as one of the country’s top designers.
      • Corey Damen Jenkins—this nationally acclaimed designer mixes vivid colors with layered patterns to create architecturally inspired spaces that are polished, inventive and unexpected.
      • Ken Pursley—a graduate of Auburn University’s school of architecture, he’s a principal and partner at Charlotte, N.C.-based Pursley Dixon Architecture.
      • Matthew Carter—he creates dynamic, timeless interiors for clients around the world.
    • 2PM: Fernando Wong will share ideas for outdoor spaces in a talk presented by FLOWER magazine—ICYMI, he’s an award-winning, internationally recognized landscape designer. Elle Décor called him a “design genius with the soul of a poet” and Architectural Digest named him “one of the most important landscape designers in America.”

Sunday, October 3: Closing out the weekend

  • 11AM-4PM: Show Hours
  • Special events requiring an extra ticket:
    • 11:30AM: “Sunday with Suzanne” featuring Suzanne Tucker—one of the country’s leading designers.
    • 1:30PM: James Farmer, sponsored by LICOA—a Southern author, interior designer and speaker known for his ability to create beautifully familiar and welcoming homes.
  • Booklovers, you’re in luck. There will be a book signing after each talk, and you’re welcome to buy a copy to take home.
