What makes for a good conference or event? An investment in the four pillars of success: speakers, sponsors, sellers, and sanctuary. What does that all mean? Find out in this bit where I compared two events side by side. No surprise, one of my favorite events every year, without fail, is MarketingProfs B2B Forum led by the greatest showman, Ann Handley. Few events invest in all four pillars so well - and I hope to see you at this year's event. Katie Robbert and I will be doing a workshop on B2B Marketing Analytics Powered By Generative AI. https://lnkd.in/gDYTsuTb #events #conferences #eventprofs

Thank you for the shout Chris! You’re an invaluable part of the MarketingProfs B2B Forum — honored to have you there as a speaker, colleague, friend, and occasional Allan. (There’s only 1!) 😉❤️

The call-out about sanctuary is often over-looked or over-engineered 😅 I know you were working on getting 4 pillars that start with the letter "S", but "sanctuary" is a great way to describe the social element! As an extrovert, I love the big crowds and randomly sitting next to someone at lunch. But I know a lot of introverts get overwhelmed or drained by this, so making it easy to find quiet space for a 1:1 conversation is key. The MarketingProfs team does a GREAT job striking the right balance in the sanctuary pillar (and obviously, strong in the other pillars as well) 🙌

I’m so glad I got to B2B Forum last time. One of the best events I have ever attended. Definitely felt like I was among friends.
