As always, the best way to get a sense of the kind of content we’re seeking is to read the website and see the kinds of stories we’ve been publishing. Hey Alma topics include pop culture, news, politics, feminism, identity, rituals, dating, and holidays — all through a Jewish lens.
If you have an idea that you think might be a good fit for Hey Alma, shoot an email to submissions@heyalma.com. Please include a brief synopsis of your idea and a little bit about who you are and why you’re the right person to write this piece. If you’ve already written a full draft, you can send that along, too (we look for pieces between 700-1100 words). If you have links to previously published works, feel free to include (though don’t worry if you don’t!).
