Salt printing

Originating in the mid-1830s, this photographic process was the primary method for producing positive prints on paper from 1839 to around 1860. Invented by English scientist Henry Fox Talbot, it is a simple process requiring just three ingredients: salt, silver nitrate, and water. The simplicity and accessibility of the process made it widely popular during its time.
