RE/MAX Canada is now accepting submissions for the 2024 RE/MAX Quest for Excellence scholarship program, which is open from September 12th, 2023 through to March 13th, 2024. The annual program awards a $1,000 scholarship to 40 graduating high-school students in Canada, presented during their commencement ceremonies.
The 2024 Quest for Excellence program invites eligible students to write and submit a 1,250-word essay based on one of three key themes:
- charitable community contribution
- the vision for a “brighter future”
- ensuring future generations have a safe, secure, and affordable place to call “home”
“RE/MAX Canada is proud to support the communities in which we live and work,” says Christopher Alexander, President of RE/MAX Canada. “The Quest for Excellence directly helps individuals by easing the financial burden of post-secondary education, but bigger picture, programs like these also motivate others to give back to their communities, while highlighting the good that’s happening all around us. We received more than 3,100 entries last year, these astounding young adults have donated their personal time for the betterment of their communities, which has made a positive impact and has enriched the lives of others.”
To be eligible, entrants must be a Grade 12 student attending high school in Canada* in the September 2023 – June 2024 academic year. One entry per person. RE/MAX Canada will review the essay submissions and award 40 scholarships, of $1,000 each, to qualifying Grade 12 students.
About the RE/MAX Canada Quest for Excellence
The Quest for Excellence scholarship program is an annual program that started in 2000 in Western Canada. Prior to expanding across Canada, the program awarded $16,000 in scholarships to 16 students in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon Territory and Northwest Territory, in the amount of $1,000 per scholarship. To date, RE/MAX has disbursed $384,000 through the Quest for Excellence scholarship program.
