Scriptural Prayers For Protection From Evil
Feeling afflicted from evil? Who hasn’t lately? And for that’s reason, I’m sharing 43 protection scriptures. In August 2020, a Derecho storm was barreling toward my home. While, the tornado sirens blared, my family headed to the basement. Honestly, it was scary, the wind howled, and the lights flashed out. To calm my fears, I began declaring protection scriptures over my house and family. Given that the tornado missed my home by a mere block, my prayers seemed effective. However, some roofs were ripped off and trees toppled but thankfully, no fatalities. Obviously, I wasn’t the only one praying in my neighborhood.
Later, I saw the doppler’s image of the storm headed toward my city. Shockingly it was the image of a evil dragon, looking like it was sent from the pit of hell.
Certainly, there’s power in declaring protection bible verses. Before that storm hit, I began the practice of declaring these scriptural prayers for protection daily over my life. I did this for at least three months. During the storm, I spoke these prayers out loud. The prayers comforted us, and they seemed effective in keeping us safe. It stands to reason, quoting scripture during the storms of your life will help you as well. After all, God shows no favoritism. (Rom. 2:11).

First, in this article, I’m going to discuss why scripturally praying is powerful. Secondly, I will provide the forty-three protection bible verses. Thirdly, I will present scripture coupled with prayers for unbelievers to turn from their worldly ways to God. After that, moving on to scripture and prayers for exposing darkness, corruption, wickedness, and greed. Lastly, ending with scripture and prayers over elected officials.
Let’s begin by exploring the reasons why, praying and quoting scripture over your life provides a protective covering.
Scriptural Prayers is a Weapon For Your Protection from Evil
Surprisingly, the sword of the spirit, the word of God, is the only offensive weapon that will protect you from evil. The list of defensive weapons consists of: the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes carrying the Gospel of peace, the shield of faith and the helmet of salvation. Jesus successfully fought Satan with quoting scripture, therefore I can try speaking scripture into my life to fight against the enemy, as well.
Consequentially, speaking God’s word from our own lips is effective and sharper than any two-edge sword. I’ve seen breakthrough in all areas of my life by praying and speaking scripture out loud. For example, I’ve been protected numerous times from evil encounters, narrowly avoiding car accidents and other incidences. Who knows all the time God intervened in my like without my knowledge?

Thank You Father for protecting me from all evil and outwitting the enemy at every turn. Lord, you alone are My shield, My protector, My deliverer, My high tower, and My hiding place from the wicked. And I thank you, for continually watching over me and my family and keeping us from all evil.

Lord, In Jesus name, we pray the Blood of Jesus Christ for protection over our home. We apply His blood on every door and window to prevent evil from entering our homes. Thank you for keeping the plague, evil, storms, earthquakes, and fire out of my home and away from my city. And I thank you for surrounding our home with angels and keeping me and my family safe.

Lord the world is a confusing place. But God, you are not the author of confusion, you are the Prince of Peace. I am asking for Your peace to make it through today, even in this moment. In the name of Jesus, I receive Your peace that surpasses all understanding. I ask for peace within in my home and wherever I place the soles of my feet.

Salvation For the Wicked, Will Help Protect You From Evil
Certainly, it’s the Father’s heart that not one person shall perish. Many people focus on John 3:16 but don’t quote the next verse, 3:17, “God sent his Son into the world not to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.” Ideally, God wants to reconcile the world through Jesus Christ, His Son.
Another way to think of this is when I run across a difficult person, I think to myself, Jesus died for that person. Subsequently, my heart automatically softens toward that sandpaper person. Another way to think is that the current unbeliever could become like a Saul of Tarsus. Before Saul encountered Jesus on the road to Damascus, he persecuted and killed Christians. After his conversion, Paul( he his new name) went on to, teach and write twenty-eight percent of the New Testament. Paul even healed others. One could never could tell, who has the potential to be another Paul, which is an excellent reason to pray for unbelievers.
Most importantly, remember the enemy works through people. Since “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rules of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Eph, 6:12
Therefore, when anyone becomes a believer they are transferred out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light. This shift, causes the heavenly angels to rejoice. Once someone enters into a relationship with Jesus, that when real transformation can begin. God can turn any life around. Therefore, it’s important to pray for unbelievers to turn from evil and know Jesus.
Salvation For the Wicked
The following are scriptures to pray for unbelievers. “But if wicked people turn from their wickedness and do what is just and right, they will live.” Ezek. 33:19 NLT
“Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the LORD that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for He will forgive generously.” Is. 55:7 NLT

Lord, In Jesus name and by His blood we declare ___________ will come to their senses and escape the devil’s trap. Jesus send laborers across ________’s path. Lord in Jesus name we pray that the spirit of Zacchaeus comes upon the wealthy and they will move to help the homeless, the disabled, and the poor. Father God, we pray that wealthy people will have a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ and help build Your Kingdom instead of building their own.

Lord, we pray in Jesus’ name, for honest politicians and judges in our cities, countries, and nations. We pray for justice, each person will be treated fairly and for the promotion of honest individuals. Thank you, Lord you are continually protecting us from the evil that is in this world.

Any prayer from the heart mixed with scripture and in Jesus’ name is an excellent prayer for protection. Even a simple prayer like God help me or just the work Jesus is also perfect.
How Do You Pray Psalm 91?
Psalm 91 is the most popular protection prayer in the Bible. It’s wise to memorize this psalm but also live it out.
For instance, you want to dwell with God daily, known as the secret place in Psalm 91:1
But also pray Psalm 91 by personalizing it. For example by whenever you are afraid, recite the second line. “The Lord is my refuge and my fortress My God; in Him will I trust.” Say and mediate this verse throughout the day.
Add thankfulness to the Psalm 91 whenever you can, as shown in the following lines.
I’m thankful that you deliver me from every snare and, and the form the deadly pestilence. Ps. 91:3
Thank You for covering me with your feathers and sheltering me with your mighty wings. Your faithfulness is my shield and buckler. Ps. 91:4
And just continuing mixing your own words with the psalm. It will bring you comfort and start a dialogue between you and God.
How does God Protect Us From Evil?
Almost every Christian asks how does God protect us from evil? My answer is I think every person has had a near death experience. Mine is when a semi-truck spun out and missed my car by an inch. God probably has intervened in our life hundreds of times and we don’t even know. Hopefully, when we get to heaven, God will show us all the ways He protected us on earth.

In summary, Jesus said we will have trials, but with protection prayers, we can cushion those attacks from evil, just like the tornado missed my home.
