Faery Party Treats – for Faeries and Your Faery-loving Friends

People often ask me what to leave as offerings for faeries. I gave you quite a few suggestions in a previous blog post, but what if you want to make a party out of it?

As you may know, faeries love parties!

I’ve collected a baker’s dozen of party treats you can share with your human friends and faeries alike.

Faeries love animalsThese are some creative and imaginative ideas for fairy-themed desserts and treats that you can easily make for a faery-themed event or party – mostly healthy and all gluten-free and plant-based.

The faeries will thank you for sharing these with them too!

Faeries Love Whole Plant Foods!

Because faeries care a whole lot about animal welfare and about the future sustainability of our planet, they prefer plant-based foods and recipes.

They want you to know that you never need to eat (or cook with) animal products like eggs, milk, cheese or meat. There are plenty of delicious and healthy alternatives available that supply all the nutrients you need (except vitamin B12, which you can easily get from a supplement, and D which you can get from exposing your skin to the sun). Click here for more information about eating a healthy whole plant foods diet.

I personally prefer to keep my treats gluten free, so I’ve collected a dozen delicious gluten-free, vegan recipes to get your creative juices flowing.

  1. Pixie Dust Sugar Cookies: Decorate sugar cookies with edible glitter to create a magical touch. (Mix organic cane sugar with a drop of natural food coloring and add after baking – natural colors may fade and sugar may burn when baked. Brush cookies with a thin layer of maple syrup or honey to help glitter stick) – Or, press small flowers into tops of cookies before baking. Very pretty!
  2. Fairy Cupcakes: Bake mini cupcakes with pastel-colored frosting (use a pinch of colorful foods like beet juice, turmeric, spirulina, blueberry or strawberry juice to color the frosting) and decorate with edible flowers.
  3. Magic Rainbow Fruit Skewers: Arrange colorful fruits on skewers to create a rainbow-like treat. Serve with Glittery Fruit Dip (below).
  4. Unicorn Glittery Fruit Dip: Mix together cashew, coconut or almond yogurt with maple syrup, and sprinkle with faery heart cookies - Medical Medium - https://www.medicalmedium.com/blog/raspberry-linzer-cookiesedible glitter to create a shimmery dip for fruit slices.
  5. Queen of Hearts’ Berry Tarts: Make berry tarts (AKA Linzer cookies) and sprinkle with edible glitter for a whimsical touch. Just what the Queen of Hearts ordered! Image from MedicalMedium.com
  6. Luscious Lemon Tart: Add some zing to your party! Decorate with edible flowers and berries.
  7. Enchanting Berry Cheesecake Hearts: Pink berries make them pretty, but you could use any soft fruit.
  8. Charmed Candy Cane Kisses: Add a drop of peppermint essential oil or alcohol-free peppermint extract if you want a minty flavor.
  9. Elfin Raspberry Jam Bites: You could use any type of jam you prefer. (Use maple syrup or date syrup if you don’t eat honey.)
  10. Gnome’s Blueberry Ice Cream Cake: Wild blueberries are best, but any berry will do. Decorate with edible flowers.
  11. Sprite’s Strawberry Lemon Bars: Sprinkle with edible glitter
  12. Fairy Toast: Toast slices of gluten-free bread, cut in pretty shapes, and top with honey, jam, or date syrup and edible flower petals.
  13. Enchanted Apple Bites: Slice apples, then drizzle with caramel and sprinkle with edible glitter – or dip in crushed cookies for a crunchy bite.
