“Your truth” is not “the truth” as Conor Friedersdorf highlighted in The Atlantic several years ago. In an age of dis-information, the distinction matters.

For in every moment we are being challenged to know what is true and what is not. So much so we begin to question our own truth.

Wondering if truth even exists.

What Is Truth?

Accompanied by honesty becoming a commodity, the word “truth” has been continuously mis-used. Often used phrases such as “my truth” and “their truth” are well meaning. Though in a society susceptible to mis-information and manipulation, they devalue the very meaning of the word.

For quantum physics has shown us the very act of looking at something will change its nature. Making the measurement of “truth” even more uncertain.

For the truth is as all of Creation continues to evolve, so must truth itself. Should we shut the door to exploring other truths, even if they are presented in ways that challenge us to have to listen with curiosity and without judgement?

Doing so means we run the risk of missing key pieces of the evolving puzzle of life.

Oprah Winfrey, along with other high-profile celebrities and brands, has moulded the term “your/my/their truth” as a phrase of empowerment. Whilst it might aid them in telling their story, it weakens the power of the word itself.

For many years I have commented in the same way about the word “love”. Over use in our everyday language means both love and truth have weakened the power of their original meaning.

Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and opinions, though a belief is not “a truth”. We like to think of truth as being universal, unchanging, proven by evidence, and cannot be owned.

However, once “the truth” becomes personal, it loses its authority.

That said, speaking up and speaking your truth is an essential aspect of living an authentic, fulfilled life of passion. Many though struggle to find ways to speak their truth.

Truth is about how we feel and what is real for each of us. It is not about being correct or right.

Your Truth Is In What You Feel

Rather it is about expressing our feelings in an authentic, vulnerable, and transparent manner.

Fear of the unknown is often paralysing and overwhelming. Sometimes to protect ourselves we seek to be even more certain. We revert to what we believe to be “right” or “wrong”.

Defaulting to our “black and white thinking”, preferring to rest our fears in the illusions of what we think is truth. Whereas being vulnerable and transparent are the key elements of speaking your truth.

Not seeking to dominate the conversation and the person you are talking to with what you believe to be “right”.

Letting go your attachment to the outcome and what the other person should believe. No longer being directed by an obsession with always having to be right.

This is when we lose our connection to the Creator, failing to cultivate conscious living. Instead re-acting and allowing events and life to control us. No longer do we act, serving life as deliberate conscious agents of the Creator.

I have expressed on many occasions, humans are just not comfortable with uncertainty. Which is why we search to know with “certainty” what is going to happen rather than allowing ourselves to be in the flow of life. Trying to hold on to that truth, even though we know by design the only certainty is change!

Navigating unknown waters requires you trust in the benevolence of all of Creation. You have to have faith and a deep relationship with Source/God/whatever word you feel comfortable using.

In this period of transition and so uncertainty, you need to know how to find your truth. To know how to connect to your intuition, to trust it and hear what is truth for you.

For to quote Thoreau:

“Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth”.

Stopped, Struggling And Questioning What To Do?

Using your inner wisdom to identify your truth and so re-connect with the Creator. An ability which is at the core of this emerging era. Though over the years, the biggest challenge I have found is people trusting their intuition.

The internal knowing that creates balance in our lives, in spite of the major waves of transition surrounding us.

When we do not trust in our connection to a deeper meaning for our lives, a trust in Source, a higher purpose, it is very easy to become distracted by the re-actions of our emotional mindset.

“Have You Faith In The Direction Your Life Is Heading?” contains six pointers to help you improve your intuition.

At a soul level we have all known this period was coming, which is why we chose to incarnate now! That said we did not know how the current acceleration of energy was going to create a continuous flow of unpredictability. Which is taking its toll on our bodies, minds and spirits.

We have not had a moment to press the restart button. Which means quite probably you are another who has:

  • Stopped doing what you know is necessary to take care of your body
  • Struggled to maintain a consistent practice of any kind
  • Questioned the point of visualising or dreaming of a New Earth
  • Are struggling to know how to be or what to do.

As with everything else in life, the best way to progress, deepen our capacity, and grow is to practice.

Will you mess it up? Of course! It is not about being perfect. It is about being yourself and speaking authentically.

Have empathy, love and compassion with yourself as you practice — this is not easy for most of us.

Remember that each situation is always new and different.

Message From Source

Speaking your truth is not always going to be easy — though it will be worth it.

When you do this, you will be able to observe your relationships and life transform.

This latest Message from Source indicates how each of us is engaged in the process of creating what we desire:

“We have all travelled far together and yet there will always be further to go. This is a connection without end, only together we create the story. Not alone, together, it is one without a beginning and has no end. Unless we should choose otherwise.

This journey we are taking together requires trust for us all. Trust as to what will emerge is for the benefit of all, for there can be no other means to create the journey. It has to be fully inclusive or else it will never provide what we are seeking for ourselves. This is your truth, the one only you can access through your inner wisdom. It is not a thought, it can only ever be a feeling. A knowing as to what you are seeking and creating.

This is the opportunity for each of you to evolve, from your own truth, no-one else can direct you, only yourself. For only you can guide your soul, or as some indicate — your soul is guiding your conscious being. Your truth is in the knowing rather than anything more elaborate.

Remain in your moment of evolution and allow yourself to enjoy what unfolds. This is how you trust what will appear is in your highest good and purpose. For this is how each evolves and so all of Creation continues to expand.”

Build Your Foundations

More than ever before, this period requires each of us know who you are, know what you need, know how to manage and care for your own feelings and re-actions. Moving towards 2024, expect Mother Earth to be more tumultuous than we have experienced over the past decade. Chaos is what happens during any transition. It is not until a firm foundation exists can the new be built.

Hence why the daily practice of self-care is essential. This will help you feel your feelings, release what no longer serves you and then take action to support yourself. In doing so you help guide the process of Creation. Reminding yourself, the seeds planted now will determine the nature of your life for at least the rest of the decade.

To conclude I offer this quote from Søren Kierkegaard:

“Truth always rests with the minority, and the minority is always stronger than the majority, because the minority is generally formed by those who really have an opinion, while the strength of a majority is illusory, formed by the gangs who have no opinion — and who, therefore, in the next instant (when it is evident that the minority is the stronger) assume its opinion… while truth again reverts to a new minority.”
