I went last night and saw Darkest Hour which I loved (probably because I was born on Churchill’s birthday and he’s always influenced me). I recommend you see it just for the magnificence of his language and the courage of his decision.

Whilst I’m on the matter of movies let me remind you of just a couple I recall right now that I reckon are worth watching, just by yourself or together with your team, for the reasons I give after each movie.

Practical advice and solutions expressed clearly and concisely.
Pick Winno's brain.

  • The Pursuit of Happiness- commitment to success spelt out large.
  • The Shawshank Redemption- making a plan and despite obstacles on the way quietly sticking to it to realisation.
  • The Wolf of Wall Street- in no way because I endorse his illegal activities but because it is a lesson in having a sales system, just like McDonald’s.
  • The Greatest Showman- unparalleled commitment and enthusiasm despite mishaps on the way.
  • Mr. Holland’s Opus- life is what happens while you’re busy making other plans.

There are many other movies that I love for what we can learn to apply to our lives and our businesses.

What movies have impressed you and you recommend that I watch?

P.S. The Shawshank Redemption is also my all-time favourite movie.
