Location: Chandler, AZ

“Faces” is a short experimental horror film being made in Chandler, Arizona.
Plot: A girl in a family of people who have abandoned the rest of society, and wear masks to hide their features from one another, discovers the outside world, and eventually her own face.
Applying: Auditions will take place on Saturday September 22. Please send to the email listed above (mnieder1428@gmail.com) a message including your name, the role(s) you’re interested in, and a couple of headshots. I will email you back as soon as I can with further audition info and location.
Filming: Early October.
Roles: (the ages listed are just what the character is envisioned to be; any age can try for any role as long as you can prove you can pull it off)
Girl: A young woman 17-25 who leaves her family to seek out the light at the end of the tunnel, meets an outsider, and discovers her own face. Must be a convincing physical actor.
Outsider: A young man or woman, around the same age as the girl (17-25). This character meets the girl outside of her “home”. He/She takes a genuine interest in the girl (not necessarily a romantic one).
Woman: A middle aged woman, possibly 30-40. She is the “mother” of the family, and it was her father who originally brought his family into the isolation of underground.
Man: A tall, intimidating man. Think of how Michael Myers looks when he’s staring someone down. Adult man, around 30-40. Tall and powerful looking are the keys here. Also a member of the family. The “father”.
Boy: A young man, aged 17-25. Part of the mask family.
Old Woman: An old, grandmother aged woman. Mother of the woman, her late husband was the one who led the family there to begin with. Also part of the family.
Even if not chosen for a principle role, there will probably still be a position available for you somewhere. Good luck, I can’t wait to meet you all!
