Kids/Teens (Boys/Girls ages 10-18) Needed for Dallas Faith-Based Theater Performance

You Connection is casting for boys/girls ages 10-18 for our ensemble cast in our upcoming one-act stage performance “You Connection Live: The Tale of Nightworld”.
We are looking for kids who can sing and act and are comfortable with performing in a theatrical setting (projection, expressive, etc.). Dancing is not required but there will be musical staging.
You Connection is a nonprofit faith-based organization using the creative arts to promote moral and biblical values to kids and families, using the mediums of video, web, literature, and theater to equip kids in today’s confusing culture.
We have a core cast of performers, but are needing an ensemble to fill out our You Connection Live shows. This audition is specifically for our upcoming show, but we have many performance opportunities throughout the year, so there is a possibility of continuing with us in future projects should you be selected. Ensemble will receive $600 compensation. (Kids under 14 need to have a work permit prior to the performance)
We will be doing three performances at Rosewood Center (Dallas Children’s Theater) on SAT, MAY 13 and SUN, MAY 14. Rehearsals will generally be the first two weeks of May. (This is not a DCT production; we are merely using the theater center).
Auditions are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY and will be on SAT, FEB. 25 and SUN, FEB. 26 in Dallas, Texas. Due to potential volume, we will only contact you if we are interested in scheduling an audition time; thank you for understanding.
Please note that we are literally a faith-based (a.k.a. Judeo-Christian) company; we do not require any statements of faith from our performers, but bear in mind that we are very overt in our message.
