Mick Jagger / Martin Scorsese HBO “Rock & Roll” Project Casting Rocker Types in NY

A new  70s set Rock & Roll series is coming to HBO and they are casting extras.

The hour long drama dives into the 70?s music scene in New York City and is seeking background actors / extras with a rocker look to fill small roles in the show. GWC has a casting call out for Caucasian men who have medium length or long hair between the ages of 20 and 40. Folks wanting a shot at a small background role in the show need to apply ASAP as fittings are tomorrow and the scene will be filming this coming Friday. The show’s casting directors are only considering talent that is local to the New York City or lives in the NY Tri-State area.

The pilot filmed last year and was written by Terence Winter (“Boardwalk Empire“). Season 1 of the show is currently in production. The new HBO drama will star Bobby Cannavale as Richie Finestra, president of American Century Records. Ray Romano plays Zak Yankovich, one of Richie’s partners and Olivia Wilde plays Richie’s wife, Devon. Devon is a gorgeous, former model a former. Also cast in the show is Juno Temple as Jamie Vine, an ambitious assistant at the label. The entertainment site, Variety also reports that Andrew “Dice” Clay, Ato Essandoh, Max Casella, James Jagger, Jack Quaid, Birgitte Hjort Sørensen, P.J. Byrne, J.C. MacKenzie, Bo Dietl, Robert Funaro and Joe Caniano are also all in the cast.
