FOX’s The Exorcist TV series is now casting many small, paid roles in Chicago
“The Exorcist” is coming to television. FOX network has ordered “The Exorcist” season 1 some months back and the episodes for the first season are in need of quite a few paid, background actors. Chicago’s 4 Star Casting has just released a few casting calls for scenes filming this week and are seeking Chicagoland locals who would be interested in working as TV show extras.
20th Century Fox Television is behind the new show which is currently set to be released this fall, on September 23rd. Just like the classic horror movie from decades back, “The Exorcist” Television series is also based on William Blatty’s horror novel about priests fighting evil and attempting to vanquish demonic spirits that have taken control of others.
“The Exorcist” is being produced in association with Morgan Creek Productions. “The Exorcist” is written by Jeremy Slater and will be executive produced by Slater, James Robinson, David Robinson and Barbara Wall. The one hour drama is being described as a modern reinvention of the classic horror story.
Variety describes the show as a propulsive, serialized psychological thriller following two very different men tackling one family’s case of horrifying demonic possession, and confronting the face of true evil. According to FOX, “The Exorcist” television series is a modern re-telling of the story. The network describes the show as “a propulsive, serialized psychological thriller following two very different men tackling one family’s case of horrifying demonic possession, and confronting the face of true evil.”
