The South County Short Movie Club (SCSMC) of Narragansett, RI, is casting for the lead female role in its current film. The character is the heroine, a confident, determined, assertive young woman who is a runner, physically fit, 25-35 years old. She is the voice of reason and can create a variety of facial expressions.

The SCSMC creates movies from the ground up, from concepts through filming. Our 2016 film, The Expiration Date, was an official selection of Rhode Island’s 401 Film Fest.

Our new script, written by SCSMC members, is a wild and crazy political parody set in an alternative reality where the rational and irrational collide.

Production will take place the last 2 weeks of August. The finished film is estimated to run about 20 minutes. Upon completion, it will be entered into various film festivals for extended viewing.

An important supporting role:
Young man, 25 – 35, boyish, learning the job; defers to power brokers.

MALE or FEMALE ROLES:
A silent hero or heroine, a very important non-speaking role. This is a critical character who, in the end, will save us all. This actor will have an expressive face.
