“Patriot,” is now filming the first season in the Chicago area and has many small, paid, featured roles up for grabs.
Chicag’os 4 Star Casting is looking for locals who would like to work as paid extras and featured extras. The show began filming season 1 some weeks back and is now casting talent for upcoming episodes. The show needs various looks and types for upcoming episodes. The available roles are listed below and talent interested must live in the Chicago area in order to be considered for the parts.
The streaming series focuses on intelligence officer John Tavner, played by Australian newcomer, Michael Dorman. The show is a cross between a dark comedy and an espionage thriller as John Tavner is tasked to keep an eye on Iran’s nuclear ambitions while working his non-official cover as an employee in a Milwaukee piping company. Tavners absurd job is matched by his passion for folk songs. In between his spy activities and song writing, Tavner must deal with his PTSD which is helped by his other passion of mechanical bull riding. However, John Tavner is not your usual master spy and things do not fall into place as easily as they do for other on-screen spy’s. For Tavner, things begin to go side ways from the start.
The Amazon show’s IMDB description actually seems to be describing a different show…. A dad who works for the U.S. State Department tries to keep the peace with his two sons, one who’s a senator and the other a folk-singing Iraq war vet. “Patriot’s” Amazon Prime page also adds …. Intelligence officer John Tavner’s latest assignment, to prevent Iran from going nuclear, requires him to forgo all safety nets and assume a “non-official cover” as a mid-level employee at a Midwestern industrial piping firm. A bout with PTSD, the government’s incompetence, and the intricacies of keeping his day job cause a barrage of ever-escalating fiascos that jeopardize the mission.
Steven Conrad directs the series. “Patriot” stars Michael Dorman and Terry O’Quinn. The rest of the cast includes Kurtwood Smith (That 70s Show), Michael Chernus, Kathleen Munroe, Aliette Opheim and Gil Bellows.
