Tokyo Disney Resort is looking for singers to fill the roles of Jasmine and Rapunzel.
Audition are being held in New York, NY on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 02:00 PM at Pearl Studios, 519 8th Avenue 12th Floor. The auditions are being held for performers who are able to travel to Disney Tokyo shortly and accept a 3 month contract in Tokyo. Singers cast for the Tokyo shows will receive paid travel to Tokyo and receive a weekly wage. Please see the details below. These are open auditions for Disney Creative Entertainment and singers attending the auditions must be at least 18 years of age and available to relocate to Tokyo as soon as December.

Disney Creative Entertainment, in association with Oriental Land Company (OLC), is seeking Female Vocalists for a special Valentine’s event at Tokyo Disney Resort®!
3 month contracts begin December 2016. Performers receive a competitive performance fee ($930 USD per week), per diem, round trip travel, private apartments, 5-day work weeks, and the chance to experience one of the world’s most fascinating and vibrant cities.
Seeking the following roles:
Rapunzel: 5’5” and under, very trim, strong actor, strong singer, mix belt to F. Beautiful and bold, spirited, smart and adventurous. Actress should have a genuine innocence and inner strength.
Jasmine: 5’2”-5’6”, Soprano with a strong mix, contemporary musical theatre/Disney princess sound; beautiful, sense of humor, independent and feisty; desperately longs to experience life beyond the castle walls. Must be physically fit with strong core.

Requirements:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and willing to relocate to Tokyo for the terms of their individual contracts.
Provide a current photo and resume.
Prepare two contrasting vocal selections (best 16 bars of each) which reflect the style of the show for which you are auditioning. You must bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided. Be prepared to learn a movement combination.
Advanced registration is not required.
Callbacks to be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016. Performers invited to callbacks must attend in order to be considered for employment.
Hi. My daughter Belle is an actor & dancer and is very interested in auditioning for the Tokyo Disney Resort dancer role taking place in NYC on 10/26. The notice mentioned an age of 18, however also listed a height requirement. If she meets the height requirement but not the age requirement, is she allowed to audition ? Thanks!

NO! This is not a Disney kids audition. This is for a theatrical contract in Tokyo for professional dancers. Minors cannot fend for themselves alone and unsupervised in Tokyo. Anytime auditions state 18+ only, it is not negotiable. It is for legal reasons and talent must legally be adults to be considered.
