Atlanta casting call for horror movie
Jack Black, Eli Roth and Steven Spielberg’s Ambin Entertainment are teaming up for the upcoming horror movie “The House With a Clock in its Walls.”
Filming is beginning in Atlanta and casting directors in the ATL area are seeking locals to fill a variety of small, extras, roles.
The movie is described as a gothic horror film and will star Jack Black as a mysterious warlock in a small town. “The House With a Clock in its Walls” is being adapted by Eric Kripke and is based on the 1973 book by John Bellairs. According to the movie’s IMDB page, Cate Blanchett is also set to star and the project is being directed by Eli Roth.
The story is the book revolves around a 10 year old boy who loses his parents and is sent to live with his uncle. Also in the story is his new next door neighbor, Florence Zimmermann, who is a witch herself.
All is not what is seems and his uncle’s home hase some evil history behind it. The house was previously owned by Isaac and Selenna Izard, who dedicated their lives to black magic and may have been plotting the end of the world. While the previous owner, Isaac, is dead, before departing he built a mysterious clock that he hid inside the walls of the house, where it is still ticking away and may be able to complete Issac’s mission. The clock has the ability magical alignment, which may mean the end of the world if it isn’t stopped.
