New CBS Show $1 One Dollar Casting in Pittsburgh

Get cast as a TV show extra in Pittsburgh.

CBS has a new show coming to their streaming network called $1 or One Dollar.

The series is now filming in the Pittsburgh PA area and casting directors for the show have been looking for lots of locals who would like to work as paid extras on set.

CBS has joined other streaming media providers with offerings of new original shows that are broadcast exclusively over their streaming services. CBS’s new media subscription channel is adding one more original show to it’s line-up. The new series called “$1 One Dollar” will be joining The Good Fight and Star Trek: Discovery on the companies fledgling streaming service called CBS All Access.

$1 will be produced by CBS Television Studios and the show is created by Jason Mosberg. Matt DeRoss and Alexandre Dauman are named as Executive Producers, with Craig Zobel (Compliance, The Leftovers) running the show.

Set within a small Rust Belt town in post-recession America, $1 tells the unexpected story of a one-dollar bill changing hands amidst a group of characters who wind up embroiled in a shocking tale of multiple murders.

As the currency changes hands, so does the point of view of each episode, which paints a somber picture of an American town plagued by deep class and cultural divides that spill out when local secrets are revealed.
