About this ebook

He keeps to himself, but she can't stop thinking about him.

She's off-limits, but he can't he stay away from her.

Things in Whisper Lake are about to get complicated.

Single mom Brynn Daniels has her hands full with her teenage son, working full time, and getting ambushed periodically when her mom rents out the backyard garage apartment on Airbnb without letting her know. She doesn't have time for romance. She certainly doesn't have time to deal with an absentee father who is in witness protection with his "real" family or the sexy, mysterious stranger who shows up on her front door.

Former Marine Axel Vaughn learned at a young age that the only person he can depend on is himself. He never allows emotions to interfere in his life; professionally or personally. But that all changes when he shows up to his newest assignment and a gorgeous, redhead answers the door.

Stand-alone Whisper Lake romance, complete with HEA--and plenty of heat and heart along the way!

Author's Note: Let Me Love You was previously published as Whisper of Attraction

Love visiting Whisper Lake, and this was no exception. Single mom, Brynn is busing raising her teenage son when her new tenant moves in, Axel. Or should I say her mom's tenant. Axel is there as an undercover agent. He also is raising his sister, who is not happy at boarding school. There is a slow burn romance between Brynn and Axel, that they both tried to fight off but could not deny their sexual chemistry. Loved how both Axel and Brynn had to step up to the plate at and early age to raise sibling and child. They both now want what's best for them as a family. Great chemistry between Axel and Brynn, had me laughing out loud a few different times. I so enjoy the friendships that have been made in this small town. As an added bonus, I loved the Easter egg hunt of fellow authors through lout the story. I highly recommend this book.

By the age of 18 Brynn had been married, divorced and had a 2-year-old son. So now at age 30 with a 13-year-old son named Ryder she isn’t out looking to hook up, even if she is a little envy of her friends who have recently found their true love and are living happily. Her first concern has always been and still is her son and him being happy. Axel is a strong quite man that keeps to himself. He has guardianship of his 13-year-old sister Izzy that he adores and will do anything for. Axel was hired to watch over Brynn to make sure nothing happens to her or her son. He is renting the small apartment behind the house Brynn lives in. Which is how he meets the one woman that gets his heart from the time she opens her door; him seeing her completely naked within 2 minutes of meeting her has nothing to do with it. :o) The first night at his new apartment he ends up having pizza with Brynn on her deck and finds himself opening up and telling her parts of his life that he never tells anyone. What is it about Brynn that he feels comfortable enough to share his personal life stories with? Axel tries his best to fight the attraction he feels for Brynn and to stay away from her while still keeping a close eye on her. All it’s going to take is just one kiss. These two are so perfect. Brynn is such a loving caring mother. Axel is such an awesome loving brother. These two characters are two of my favorites. The chemistry Melanie Shawn shows in these characters is remarkable. I found myself not wanting to put my book down, staying up most of the night just to see what happens next. I really really enjoyed this read. There’s just so much I could say about this book but honestly you need to read it to get the full effect of how great these characters are together.

WOW!! AMAZING!! I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Brynn and Axel in Whisper of Attraction. This book was written by the amazing sister team Melanie Shawn and is the third book in their Whisper Lake Romance series. Single mom Brynn and former Marine Axel were amazing together. Was there anything Brynn couldn’t do? She tried to keep up with her teenage son while working as a school counselor full time, sewed costumes, direct the high school play and still tried to find time to spend with her girlfriends. She definitely had no time for a relationship. Then there was the surprise whenever her mom rented out the backyard garage apartment on AirBnB without telling her, as was the case with Axel. Axel was also very talented and he was assigned to keep Brynn safe while her absentee father was in witness protection. As a rule follower, Axel knew better than to get involved with a client, but with the beautiful Brynn he wasn’t didn’t want to play by the rules. In addition to Brynn and Axel we got to know Brynn’s son Ryder, Axel’s sister Issy, and their friends. These teens added another dimension to the story, showing aspects to the adults that one wouldn’t normally see with a childless adult character. I loved the Easter eggs honoring other authors, especially since three of the four were favorites of mine. Plus I knew and read the books mentioned throughout the story. Melanie Shawn wrote a wonderful, emotional, sexy, and fun story; filled with sexual chemistry, fun dialogue, and endearing characters. I so enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down, turning page after page, wanting more once I turned that last page. In fact I read this book in one day I highly recommend this book and am looking forward to reading the next story in the Whisper Lake series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
