Fans of Joss Whedon, his characters, and projects living in the Los Angeles area won’t want to miss Whedonopolis 2016. The convention celebrating all things Whedon will be held on May 13-15, 2016 at the Airtel Plaza Hotel, 7277 Valjean Avenue, Lake Balboa, CA.

Guests of honor are Juliet Landau (Drusilla on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel) and Marc Zicree (writer The Twilight Zone Companion). Other guests are Nicholas Brendon (Xander on Buffy), Miracle Laurie (November/Mellie/Madeline on Dollhouse), James Leary (Clem on Buffy), Doug Jones (lead Gentleman on Buffy), Camden Toy (Gentleman on Buffy), Andrew Ferchland (the Anointed One on Buffy), Thomas Parham (writer JAG), Valerie Frankel (writer Buffy and the Heroine’s Journey), George Sarah (composer Buffy), Matthew James (Merl on Angel), Shawna Trpcic (costume designer Angel, Firefly, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog), Damien Poitier (stuntman Firefly, Angel, Dollhouse), Keith Szarabajka (Holtz on Angel), Sam Anderson (Holland Manners on Angel), Mark Lutz (Groo on Angel), P.J. Panels and events include karaoke with demons and costumed heroes, a charity auction with exclusive items from members of the Whedonverse and sci-fi fandoms, visual FX panel, actors under the masks, Whedon’s favorite archetypes, Whedon’s wonder woman and its place in the mythos, Whedon’s apocrypha, music of the Buffyverse, Browncoats: Independence War, and lots more. Friday from 11 PM through Saturday at 6 AM the original Star Wars trilogy will be shown, Saturday from 9 PM to 2 AM is the Prom at The Bronze, and Sunday the con is closing with Buffy Musical/Once More with Feeling.

The dealers room is open Friday 5 PM to 8 PM, Saturday 10 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM.

The three-day admission is $60, three-day youth is $40, and three-day student, military, and law enforcement is $55. General Saturday admission is $40, youth Saturday is $30, general Sunday is $30, and youth Sunday is $20.
