The weather is heating up, but the beach won’t be the only reason for Virginia natives to head to the coast. On May 21-22, 2016 the next Tidewater Comicon will be held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, 1900 Atlantic Avenue, Virginia Beach, VA.

Media guests are John Wesley Shipp (The Flash), Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters), Karan Ashley (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), and Brian O’Halloran and Marilyn Ghigliotti (Clerks).

Comics guest include Jae Lee (Before Watchmen: Ozymandias), Mike Zeck (Secret Wars), Gerry Conway (Amazing Spider-Man), Joe Rubinstein (Wolverine), Fred Van Lente (Amazing Spider-Man), Ron Marz (Green Lantern), Bill McKay (Hack/Slash), Nancy Collins (Vampirella), Bob Camp (Ren and Stimpy), Larry Hama (G.I. Joe), and others.

There will be a cosplay contest and a superhero movie trailer contest.

The con runs Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM. The two-day pass is $30, Saturday is $20, and Sunday is $20, plus kids under 12 get in for free.
