U.S. Representative Walter Jones reelected in landslide win

Well, there was a little bit of good news yesterday.

The media went out of its way to cast Congressman Walter Jones as a “racist” after he appeared as a guest on The Political Cesspool Radio Program in September.

The voters saw through the media’s game and voted for him anyway.

Jones cruised to reelection yesterday.

U.S. Rep. Walter Jones was on his way to winning a 10th term to the U.S. House, with early numbers Tuesday giving him a solid lead in the District 3 race.

The Associated Press named Jones the projected winner just after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. As of 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jones had 62 percent of the vote according to unofficial results, while Democratic challenger Erik Anderson had 38 percent. Jones totaled 117,226 votes to Anderson’s 71,541.

Score one for the good guys.

Maybe Romney would have won if only he’d appeared on TPC?

Or maybe the GOP shouldn’t have nominated a Massachusetts liberal to head the ticket of a center-right party. I’m just saying.

Republican voters, by and large, are good people.

Leaders of the Republican Party are not.
