That didn’t take long, now did it?
A refresher’s course for those of you who missed the original story from a couple of weeks ago:
1) A grand total of about 60,000 Africans have been attempting to illegally move to Israel. So upset are the heads of state over this ordeal that they have lashed out by calling them “infiltrators,” and saying that these migrants will “lead to the eradication of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state.”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that Israel could be swamped by illegal migrants from Africa and stated that a series of crimes, including rapes, have happened as a result of the newcomers.
2) Another couple of days pass and the incendiary rhetoric turns nasty.
Demonstrators attacked African passersby while others lit garbage cans on fire and smashed car windows. Another group of demonstrators stopped a shuttle taxi and searched for migrant workers among the passengers, while banging on the windows.
The crowd cried “The people want the Sudanese deported” and “Infiltrators get out of our home.” Likud MK Miri Regev participated in the protest and said that “the Sudanese were a cancer in our body.”
The protesters expressed their dismay with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the government’s dealings with the “problem” of asylum seekers. Some people carried signs in support of Interior Minister Eli Yishai, who called for the detention and expulsion of all asylum seekers earlier this week.
Following the protest, hundreds of people assembled in the main street of the Hatikvah neighborhood. Several protesters smashed the windows of a grocery store that served the migrant workers community, broke the windows of a barber shop and looted it.
So, this is how they react in Israel when a paltry number of gate crashers attempt to enter their party. Meanwhile in America, these same Jews would accuse us of being racist xenophobic bigoted supremacist nazis for having similar concerns about the tens of millions of illegal aliens who are altering the cultural fabric of our society.
Interesting how that works.
At any rate, the Israelis are taking quick action and are working to settle the problem as you read this.
Israeli authorities on Monday rounded up dozens of African migrants slated for deportation, most of them from South Sudan, as the government weighs tough penalties against Israelis who help illegal aliens.
The Population and Migration Authority said in a statement that officers arrested 45 migrants from South Sudan, along with three Nigerians, two Ghanaians, two Chinese, one from Ivory Coast, one from the Philippines and one whose nationality is being checked.
Israeli public radio said that in at least two cases, during early-morning swoops in the Red Sea town of Eilat, women with young children were picked up as they walked on the streets and were driven away.
Journalist and rights activist Toni Lissi told army radio that suspects in the town were picked up on the street, in banks, at their places of work and in door-to-door searches.
“The people arrested were were taken on buses to detention centres. Their mobile phones were confiscated,” she said.
“Other immigrants are hiding in their homes, not daring to go out until things calm down,’ she said.
An Israeli court on Thursday ruled that the lives of an estimated 1,500 migrants from South Sudan are no longer at risk in their homeland, clearing the way for their mass expulsion.
Community workers said they were led to understand that the migrants would have a least a week to put their affairs in order and report voluntarily for repatriation, but arrests began before dawn on Sunday, when eight South Sudanese and 17 others were taken into custody.
Israeli daily Haaretz said that a government committee on legislation had approved submission of draft bills which would raise the maximum penalty for Israelis who employed, housed or transported around the country illegal immigrants to five years in prison from two at present.
The bill is expected to go to parliament for a preliminary reading this week.
The interior ministry says that approximately 60,000 African immigrants have entered Israel illegally, including those from South Sudan, with which Israel has friendly relations.
Again, while I object to the violence that some of these Jews resorted to and am certainly disgusted by the utter hypocrisy that they employ, I must admit that this was fast and effective action by the Jewish state.
They did what they had to do in order to protect their cultural heritage. The Africans were breaking the immigration laws of Israel and are being understandably deported.
Now, if Israel can enforce their border laws without worldwide condemnation, I want to see the American government do the same. Israel has provided us with a perfectly legitimate template.
