Every so often we all have great ideas and rush to make them happen but then get interrupted or diverted and don’t follow thorough. It’s a problem you’ve probably struck when you’ve seen something advertised and you’ve walked into, rung or emailed the store, only to be greeted with the furiously frustrating response of “What advertisement?”

Recently, Felicity, my Miracle Worker, found a variation of the problem. She reports that:

“Driving through Mooroolbark, I noticed that all the building activity beside the roundabout now had coverings on the fence, announcing it was a new Hungry Jack’s and they’re hiring now. I caught a glimpse of the word “online”, so thought I’d check it out thinking it might be of interest to my university student son.

It was easy enough to find the jobs section on the website, but from that point on…

  • The new store wasn’t listed on the drop-down menu of stores.
  • Scrolling through the existing job notices, most of them were way too old to be of any interest to a prospective employee.
  • There was no news page with information about the new store and potentially a link to recruitment opportunities there.
  • Even a general Google search didn’t come up with anything concrete.

I wonder if they’re scratching their heads wondering why nobody has applied to work there!”

It’s a reminder to us all that, whenever we promote our products or services, we must ensure that everything is in place so that our team know all about what’s on offer and can handle enquiries so that prospects can get answers to questions and buy easily and immediately.
