Tip 17- Thank You, ‘Rose’

I was meeting with a group of employees recently.

A woman named ‘Rose’ had just returned to work that very day after a hospitalization. Her colleagues were happy to see her, almost as happy as she was to be there.

Early into my presentation, ‘Rose’ politely interrupted. “When I went in for a routine physical last month, my doctor discovered a heart problem. He said I might not have made it to my next birthday.

“We just learned that all of our preventive coverage is now paid at 100%. So there really isn’t any reason to put off your annual exams.”

She fought to hold back the tears. “Please go. It might save your life too.”

You could have heard a pin drop.
