PAID acting roles required for NON-UNION short film in Toronto!
The Ultima of Amanda is seeking seven roles for a dark portrayal of a woman facing her inner demons as she struggles to finish the film she hopes will finally set her free. Actors are encouraged to demonstrate any unique talents that could add to the surreal nature of the subject matter.
Amanda: A filmmaker from a broken family, the role calls for intense scenes depicting violence, attempted rape and mental breakdowns (no nudity). Between 20s and 30s.
Male Protagonist: 40s to 60s. Used by Amanda to portray her father, intense scenes as described above (no nudity).
Female Protagonist: 17 to 20s. Used by Amanda to portray herself.
Benjamin: Amanda’s Assistant Director. He and all the crew are concerned about Amanda’s intentions with her film.
Sound Person.
Camera Person.
Security Guard: Confronts Amanda about her filming location.
The actress for Amanda will be paid $150, others $100 and all be needed between AUG. 29th and SEPT. 5th, three days, Amanda possibly up to five.
