New e-learning hub in partnership with Sport Integrity Australia

We are delighted to announce that  Play by the Rules in partnership with Sport Integrity Australia will now host the PBTR online training modules on the Sport Integrity Australia e-learning hub.

Sport Integrity Australia e learning hub

A key recommendation of the Wood Review proposed a single identifiable education and outreach platform be established to develop and coordinate education, training and outreach courses.

Hosting the Play by the Rules online training modules on the Sport Integrity Australia e-learning hub creates a single destination for all sporting codes and administration staff to access educational materials and training in one convenient location.

Parents Guide to Clean Sport

Welcome to the Let Kids be Kids mini-course. This course is part of the Let Kids be Kids campaign to address poor sideline behaviour at junior sport. There are a suite of resources available to support sports clubs and associations tackle poor behaviour at kids sport.

What will you learn from this mini-course?

At the conclusion of this course you will be able to:

  • Identify the motivations for kids' participation in sport
  • Identify what poor behaviour at kids' sport is
  • Take actions that reduce instances of poor adult behaviour at kids' sport
  • Take actions that discover and incorporate the views of children and young people when it comes to their sport experience

The issue of poor behaviour at kids' sport can be quite a complex one. Nobody knows how common poor behaviour is! But, many people have witnessed it or seen it in the media. Maybe you've even been part of it? Watch this introduction from Paul Kennedy, the ABC journalist, who appears throughout the course.

No sport is immune from poor adult behaviour. Poor behaviour can have a serious impact on kids enjoyment of sport and their future participation. This free mini-course is a step you can take to help you understand and address poor behaviour. You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course.
