Pros:
A good variety of articles for each issue
Issues are packed with content and sufficient for the price
Great exposure to the trends and science of today's psychologists
Cons:
A lot of well-being literature seems to include spiritual and religious encouragement for those that are followers of a religion. I felt some of the articles were a bit hostile towards those that do not practice atheism.
Perfect for professionals, students, and anyone with a healthy dose of curiosity.
This is not a boring magazine. It's even teenager-friendly. It always reveals cool facts, new scientific studies and outcomes, words of psychologists and other such professionals, and it's really a mashup of everything and anything relevant to science, health, and behavior. And oftentimes, humor.
It's a shame that it doesn't even come bi-weekly, or monthly, but I can't really imagine most people not enjoying reading this, along with the photos and illustrations. Actually I don't even remember how often they came. That's how faraway the issues were spread out...but of course you will know that if you go for this.
I personally think the magazine subscription is pretty expensive, but I'd like to say it's worth a try. They are easy reads, perfect for a waiting room, for a plane ride, anywhere where you can stand not using your phone.
I haven't honestly read all of them. I am too interested in Time, and The New York Times Magazine, and the personal essays in Marie Claire and Glamour.
I got this special deal and I ended up with way too many magazine subscriptions to keep up with. Even ones I don't care about.
You will enjoy Psychology Today, I am pretty confident of that. It's a thin magazine, with really easy language and illustrations.
It's an eye-opener. It's surprisingly fun to read. It's not a really heavy type of reading. It's lighter, and entertaining. But also, with totally relevant, interesting articles. It teaches you a lot of stuff you never knew.
Try it out.
Their articles are relevant, thought provoking, and they stay current with common issues.
Highly recommend if breaking through the illogically accepted livelihoods of our modern world to find the reason is your thing.
