Wow the pantone color two years in a row has been a favorite of mine! For 2019 it is Living Coral. The most vibrant, perfect shade of orange imaginable. And then this happened. As I believe people cross your path for great reasons....I met this cool lady at Quiltcon. She sat across the table from me during a class and we exchanged IG info as we do when we meet cool people.
I began following Broad Cloth Studio on Instagram. This past weekend she posted a quiz. "What Quilt Block Are You?" Sounded like real fun, so I took it. And wow was it spot on! It said I was a Handy Andy Block and in a nutshell confident, tenacious, hard-working and inquisitive. I thought this is it! I need to make this block to symbolize my quilting and honestly my lifelong personality. And so I did! And while I was at it, I decided to make it in my favorite color making Kona Coral and Grunge Navy were the perfect fit. It also gave me the opportunity to participate in the 2019 Pantone Quilt challenge. You see all the entries at Bryan House Quilts.
It was a fun and easy block to put together. Broad Cloth Studio has posted tutorials so if you want to take the quiz and make your block....go check it out! I wanted mine larger so it was easy to modify.
