To celebrate Veterans Day 2023, service members, veterans and their families can enjoy an extensive array of freebies, deals and discounts from some very appreciative restaurants, retailers, parks, zoos and more.

This Nov. 11 is the 105th anniversary of Veterans Day (originally known as Armistice Day, referring to the end of the First World War). On this day, our nation takes a collective pause to honor our active-duty and veteran military members, as well as their families, for their sacrifice and service to our country. Retailers, restaurants and a wide variety of businesses are stepping up to express their gratitude. Many are offering free meals and deep discounts. So, grab your military ID (or another form of required verification*) and enjoy some delicious food, discounts and entertainment this Veterans Day.

Most of these offers are available only on or around Veterans Day unless otherwise specified, but you can enjoy more military discounts from retailers and restaurants year-round. We’ll be adding to the list as more businesses confirm their Veterans Day specials.

1. Bonefish Grill

On Veterans Day, Bonefish Grill is providing a sizzling meal to veterans and active-duty military. Enjoy a FREE order of Bang Bang Shrimp and a soft drink on Nov. 11. Additionally, the restaurant offers a 10% Heroes discount year-round to all service members, veterans and first responders.

2. Buffalo’s Cafe

Active and retired U.S military personnel can get a complimentary entree from the menu (up to a $17.99 value) when dining in at Buffalo’s Cafe. All veterans must show proof of service or wear military uniform.

3. Carrabba’s Italian Grill

For Veterans Day 2023, Carrabba’s Italian Grill is thanking current and former military who dine-in with a complimentary appetizer or dessert paired with a soft beverage, no purchase is necessary to get the offer. Plus, the restaurant chain offers a 10% Heroes discount year-round to all service members, veterans and first responders.

4. Fazoli’s

Thanking veterans with a meal, all day on Nov. 11, 2023, “Fazoli’s”:https://fazolis.com/ is offering one FREE Regular Spaghetti with Meat or Marinara to all military personnel.

5. Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

On Veterans Day, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers will be giving out gift cards for a FREE Freddy’s original double with cheese combo meal card to veterans and current military personnel. The card may be redeemed until November 30, and there’s no purchase necessary to receive or redeem the gift card.

6. Golden Corral

As a thank you for their service, Golden Corral is providing free meals to all veterans on Nov. 13 from 5 p.m. to close.

Thanking military official with a meal, all day on Nov. 11, 2023, Hawaiian Bros is offering a free classic plate lunch for veterans and active military when they show ID while dining-in, going to the drive-thru, or carrying out.

9. Hurricane Grill & Wings

On Veterans Day, Hurricane Grill & Wings, will be offering a complimentary entree from a special menu to all veterans and active-duty military who dine-in. The menu options include: 10 Bone-In Wings, Yuengling Beer Battered Fish & Chips, Steakburger, Chicken Caesar Salad, Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Sandwich and Chicken BLT Tacos.

10. Lucille’s Smokehouse Barbecue

U.S. active duty personnel and veterans get a Lucille’s Original Pulled Pork Sandwich and one swoon-worthy side from Nov. 10 to Nov. 11.

Not a pork eater? No worries, then you can grab a personal size Lucille’s Southern Fried Chicken and two swoon-worthy sides instead. This offer is available for dine-in only with proof of service. Plus, you’ll also receive a $10 ‘thank you’ card that is redeemable from Nov. 24 through Dec. 3.

11. Native Grill & Wings

On Saturday, Nov. 11, in honor of Veterans Day, the Aquarium of the Pacific is offering FREE admission for veterans and military personnel from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

In honor of our nation’s veterans, Mount Vernon offers FREE admission to all active duty, former or retired military personnel on Nov. 11, 2023 from 9:00 until 4:00 p.m. for a special event showing.

40. Nashville Zoo

Together with Regions Bank, Nashville Zoo invites active military personnel, military veterans and their immediate families receive FREE admission during Military Appreciation Day on Sunday, Nov. 12. Active military personnel, military veterans and their immediate families, receive discounts off admission to the Nashville Zoo throughout the year. Visitors must show their military ID, veteran organization ID, discharge papers or other official military identification to be given FREE admission.

41. National WWI Museum and Memorial
