Aquarius June 2017

Aquarius, sky

Aquarius (20 January – 18 February)

It’s a lively start to the month of June as your co-rulers, Saturn and Uranus, are in action from day one. Both planets are in lively fire signs and people sectors of your chart. They are working in unison and team up on the 1st and 3rd with the planet of love and relating, Venus.

This feels exciting as if it could coincide with good news or meeting someone new who makes a big impact on you. Venus has been in Aries for a long time now and has spent almost four months in this one sector of your chart.

So something is either beginning or coming to an end but either way it feels decisive as if you finally know your own mind or you’ve met your match in a good way.

This might relate to love for you because there’s strong emphasis this month on the sign of Gemini, which rules romance and love affairs in your chart. There’s a playful quality to Gemini, that brings out the side of your nature that’s cheeky, light-hearted and ready for anything.

The Sun is in Gemini until the 21st and communication planet Mercury whizzes through Gemini from the 6th to the 21st. So don’t hang around if there’s someone you want to connect with. This is the planetary equivalent of speed-dating, jumping in feet first to introduce yourself to someone new.

There is a potential bump in the road however from the 15th to the 18th when Saturn, your traditional ruler, opposes the Sun and Mercury in Gemini. You might not be happy with the way a relationship’s developing or perhaps you revert back to the old you who doesn’t believe that things are going to work out.

Yet, as mentioned at the beginning of your monthly horoscopes, it’s not just about Saturn now as Uranus is part of the planetary picture. Uranus in Aries brings about a breakthrough, a fresh way of looking at an old problem.

Don’t let Saturn’s gloomy nature stop you if you sense that it’s only fear or doubt getting in the way. Tap into a new way of thinking, a positive mind-set and you can move mountains mid-month.

There may be some areas of your life that are a definite no-go zone and there will be certain scenarios where you have to put your foot down and say no more. If you’re a parent, for example, this might involve disciplining a child to ensure they have safe boundaries in their life.

Or perhaps you run into another scenario where you recognise that you want more commitment not less. This could also be a case of writer’s block if you’re involved in a creative project. If this is true for you, then look to the alternative viewpoint to help you find your way.

The Sun is your partner planet so mid-month could be a challenging time if you’re in a long-term relationship or married. You need to negotiate carefully, especially if you want different things.

This month is about freedom and keeping life light on the whole, which may not go down well with your other half. Yet it’s important to recognise whether this reveals more about your relationship and shows you where there are incompatibilities.

The freedom theme kicks in big-time on the 9th when there’s not only a Full Moon in the sign of exploration, Sagittarius, but the freedom planet Jupiter turns direct after four months on go slow.

This is especially important for you because Jupiter is currently in Libra, a fellow air sign. So this is where you can fly high in life and it’s an exciting, big-thinking planet/sign placing. Jupiter rules vision and risk-taking and it’s about getting in touch with the bigger picture, the deeper purpose in your life.

This is an exciting time for travel and study and living life to the full. Look out for new opportunities which come your way on or near the 9th and be daring and bold. Jupiter’s change of direction can also spell good news for a legal case or a publishing or media project.

You do need to heed the everyday side of life this month and how you earn a living. Action planet Mars enters Cancer, the sign which rules your work and routine, your lifestyle and your health on the 4th. Mars remains here until mid to late July.

This can be a time when you have to work hard and knuckle down and get on. Yet your drive and determination will pay off as long as you don’t take on too much stress and you ensure that your physical health stays in tip top condition. Mars in Cancer is a positive transit for starting an ongoing form of exercise or training.

What you put in now, you get back in return and this may become obvious to you on or near the Solstice, on the 21st. The Solstice is the mid point of the year and it always coincides with the Sun’s move into Cancer.

This year, the Sun is joined by Mercury the planet of communication and these two planets unite on the day of the Solstice. This spells good news and it would be an ideal date to apply for a job or have an important meeting or interview.

Plus three days later on the 24th, there’s a New Moon in Cancer, a symbol of new beginnings. So the planetary energy feels fresh and exciting as the month comes to an end.

Get into a rhythm with work and team up with other people to make your life and theirs easier. The same applies if you’re training or exercising. You’ll be more focused and stay on target with a support buddy by your side.
